Marriage Can Be Hard, But…
Maybe you never thought you’d be going through this, but rest assured: I can help you work through what’s happening. Every marriage goes through periods of struggle. The question isn’t if you’ll struggle in your marriage, the question is how you will go through the struggle. I want to help you not only get through what you’re going through, but actually GROW through and become stronger in response to what you’re going through. I can show you how.
Whether you need help with resolving some conflict or recovering from infidelity, I want to walk you through healing and change. Together, we’ll look to God’s Word to help you understand God’s blueprint for marriage in every area, including communication, conflict resolution, roles, forgiveness, expectations, and even sex!
Regardless of where you are, what you’ve been through, or what your beliefs about marriage are, there is HOPE!
Watching couples move from disconnect and brokenness into strength, empowerment, and joy is what keeps me passionate about this work.
Watching couples move from disconnect and brokenness into strength, empowerment, and joy is what keeps me passionate about this work. I love being part of the healing and growth process in the lives of others.
Counseling couples and families has never felt like just a profession to me. It’s a calling. Long before I sat across from couples in a counseling room, I was walking alongside trauma affected youth and families, learning firsthand how to help people move through pain toward wholeness. My husband and I have parented over fifty children through foster and adoptive care, and that journey taught me to see hard seasons as opportunities to grow rather than obstacles to avoid. I’ve also had the privilege of serving overseas, assisting with disaster relief in Chile, leadership development in Mali, West Africa, and supporting sex trafficking survivors in Baltimore, Maryland.
Over fifteen years of counseling, I’ve watched God bring real, lasting transformation into people’s lives, and that’s ultimately what drew me to Marriage Revolution. I am so looking forward to bringing everything I’ve learned and practiced over the years into a counseling approach rooted in Scripture. I’ve wanted this for a long time: the chance to walk with couples through transformation and growth from a biblical perspective.
If you’re navigating a season that feels overwhelming, here’s some of what I love walking through with couples and families:
Â
Outside of my time with clients, I’ve been married to my husband, Matt, for twenty years, and God has been so gracious to us. After ten years of marriage, He led us to adoption, and three of our children joined our family. About a year later, after eleven years of infertility, He entrusted us with one more child. Our son’s journey with congenital heart defects and heart failure has shaped our family deeply, and it’s what brought us to Texas. We miss the four seasons of South Carolina, but we’ve loved the hospitality here and look forward to growing in this community for years to come.
Jennifer has over 15 years of counseling experience, including work with trauma affected youth and families. She holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Liberty University, as well as trained through the American Association of Christian Counselors. At Marriage Revolution, she brings that background into her work as a biblical counselor.
Whether you’re looking for a tune up or praying for a miracle, I can help. I can help with communication, conflict resolution, forgiveness, expectations, roles, anger, intimacy issues, and affair recovery.
The most important preparation you can make for your life together is internal. I want to help prepare your heart for your marriage and help you understand God’s purpose and plan for it.
Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, addiction, or overall motivation / direction? I’d like to help you navigate this difficult season so you can fulfill God’s purposes for your life.
