In 2008-2010, my marriage was one of the ones under attack.
āWait, a divorce? This canāt be happening to me!?ā
Unfortunately, my marriage eventually fell prey to addictions, dysfunction, decay, and eventually divorce.
Following my divorce, God led me to Divorce Care to work through my grief and start over as sole provider for 3 children. He started my journey of healing and helped me to see my part in my failed marriage and opened my eyes to HIS great love for me. God showed me my identity in Him and revealed His plan for marriage.
My healing journey led me to my current husband, Steve, and weāve been happily married for 9 years and together have 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren.
The top 2 predictors of divorce are chronic criticism and unresolved conflict. Left unchecked, these will produce growing disappointment, anger, and bitterness.

I graduated from Baylor University and Iām a commissioned minister of Pastoral Care and a licensed Pastoral Counselor by the National Christian Counselors Association.
